Worst Cooks in America's "Farmageddon"

Chefs Anne Burrell and Robert Irvine challenge the Worst Cooks in America

As I have been creating my own soups this past year, I have been learning a lot about the importance of using produce from my local Greenmarket and shopping as local as possible. Not only do soups taste better, this overall focus is better for the environment, strengthens the local economy and preserves local farms. This overall theme is also the focus of Sunday nights episode of Food Network's Worst Cooks in America.

In an episode titled "Farmageddon," Chefs Anne Burrell and Robert Irvine challenge the 14 remaining 'worst cooks' by taking them to a field trip to a local farm. Here they have to make the perfect omelet and later create the perfect pork dish from memory. Learning how to cooking is no easy feat that when combined with learning about the importance of farm-to-table and nose-to-tail preparation is definitely a challenge worth checking out. 


“Farmageddon” premiers on Sunday, January 9th at 9pm ET/PT on the Food Network.
