PAST SOUP EVENTS: 

Soup Class at Trade School - March 19th, 2011 (2:30-3:30)
The class will discuss how to make a soup - starting with a basic vegetable broth. We will then make some traditional soups for the winter such as a ribollita or a butternut squash soup. As an interactive approach all students will be involved in the chopping and preparation of the soups. There will also be a discussion of the origins of each soup.

Lower Manhattan Soup Tour - March 5th, 2011 (1:00-3:30pm)
Join me for this delicious lower Manhattan soup tour. Starting in Chinatown at Marco Polo Noodle Shop at 94 Baxter Street for some dumplings or hand-pulled noodles then off to Da Nico Menu at 164 Mulberry St Little Italy for some classic Minestrone or Pasta Fagioli and finally ending our tour at Katz's Deli for some Matzo Ball Soup or Split Pea Soup.

Teaching Soup Making at the Brooklyn Cookery -  January 9th, 2011
An instructional course of how to make a homemade vegetable stock, ribollita and a spicy kale and white bean soup.

A communal cooking event/fundraiser for a new volunteer-run farm in Windsor Terrace

Seriously Soupy's First Annual Soup Party - October 20th, 2010
Party to celebrate first year of blogging and creating soups. Creating a Roasted Root Vegetable, Russian Cabbage and Beef Soup, Ribollita and a Butternut Squash and Carrot soup. There will also be soup games and prizes.

First Annual NYC Souperama March 6th, 2010 (Jimmy's No. 43)
A soup contest at Jimmy's No. 43 to benefit the charities-Harbor Hope and the Fresh Air Fund.
